The end of each year provides an opportunity to reflect on the overwhelming graciousness of our loving Father who has blessed us so that we may be a blessing to others.
In connection with Micah 6:8, which has become a theme for our Missions team, Crossroads is highlighting two ministries this year-end that we believe are doing this both globally and locally through the focus of medical missions.
Exalta Health reflects the spirit of Christ by providing compassionate, accessible healthcare. Their primary clients are families on the Southeast side of Grand Rapids with limited access to affordable, high quality medical and/or dental care. There are a few individuals from Crossroads who are on staff as Doctors with Exalta or who volunteer their time to serve these families. Exalta sees a big need of expanding their pediatric services and are in need of equipment to see this happen. Our heart is that we would be able to raise $15,000 for Exalta to be used for the equipment needed to expand their pediatric program. www.exaltahealth.org
Started by John and Rosa Vander Kolk, Touch of Hope, has been serving refugees in Lebanon with much needed dental and medical care. Their ministry doesn’t just end with the practical need, but it has opened the door for them to pray with countless people and share about the love and hope that they have in Jesus. And to demonstrate to many refugees that they have not been forgotten, but that God sees them. They will be taking a trip this spring where they will see over 500 patients, and to fully fund this trip will cost $15,000. Our desire is that Crossroads would raise this $15,000 to be a blessing to the many lives that John and Rosa and their team will interact with. www.touchofhopeinternational.org
In the event we receive more than the designated amount for these projects, all extra funds will go towards growing our annual missions budget in 2019.
