The best part about my role?
There are lots of great things about my role at Crossroads, but by far the best part of my job is the people I get to work with. Every single person here is wonderful and it’s a joy to work with such loving and Godly people. Other great things about my job are that I get to wear jeans, take my shoes off, and gain a ton of valuable experience while doing something I’m interested in.
Your faith story?
I was born into a Christian family and Christian world, but it wasn’t until my first year of college that I really came alive spiritually and realized what it was all about. I owe so much to many amazing brothers and sisters in Christ who encouraged, challenged, led and taught me throughout my journey to become the Jesus follower I am today.
While at school, I developed a huge passion for college ministry and working with college dudes, especially guys in VO hall at Cornerstone!
Favorite place on earth ?
My favorite place on earth is wherever my fiancé is, which right now is seven hours away in Pittsburgh. We’re getting married in May!
Makes you laugh?
Anything weird or ridiculous. My three year old niece Katelyn cracks me up. My whole family makes me laugh a lot. Anne Lamott says that laughter is carbonated holiness.
Makes you cry?
I guess a lot of stuff makes me cry … thinking about the trip I took to India last summer, thinking about third world poverty in general makes me cry. Those awesome moments with brothers where you’re so deep and crazy in prayer and love for each other, especially with my overly emotional roommate Johnny, make me cry. A good U2 song makes me cry. The move Rudy always makes me cry. One time I dropped a huge bulletin board on my toe and that made me cry too.
