Wharncliffe, Ontario | August 15-18
Every man’s heart is hardwired to connect with God, to seek relationship alongside a band of brothers, and to move through life alive to his desire as he partners with God in impacting the world. But too often we forsake this sort of life and give ourselves over to the grind of the day-to-day. Struggles and stresses keep us down, and we lose sight of the larger story we are called to live in.
At the Outpost we will hike, adventure, learn, enjoy the campfire, share stories, eat great food, and grow together. We go to the wilderness to explore the things that make our hearts come alive. We go to be encouraged as we seek to live into all that God has for us.
Join a group of 15-20 guys for a transformational 4-day weekend in the Canadian wilderness. Taking place at Tunnel Lake in the Mississagi River Valley of Ontario, this rustic setting provides a beautiful place along the lakeshore to reflect on our stories, share great meals, enjoy campfires, and take part in some adventure in the North woods. Leaving from Grand Rapids on the morning of Thursday, August 15, we will return on the evening of Sunday, August 18. The weekend will have many elements, including some moderate hiking, storytelling in groups and plenty of space to clear out the white noise and enjoy some pristine wilderness.
Cost: $250, which includes transportation, lodging, food, and materials. Your registration plus a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on the trip, and registration will close 2 weeks prior to the trip departure date. A mandatory pre-trip meeting will be held on Monday, August 12 at 6:30 pm for those registered.
