worship

I've never liked Spam...
the truth is I've never met anyone who does.  I'm not talking about junk email, but that horrible tasting processed meat that's pressed into shape and put into a can.  Church on Sunday can often be like Spam; over processed and canned.  We're choosing to be different at Crossroads.  Our worship is real, because our desire for God is real. Our gatherings are not over processed or canned.  As a result we're finding that people are coming back week after week not out of obligation but desire; desire to be transformed by the living God.

We believe that worship, as defined by the Bible, is all about truth: truth about God turning into unashamed response to God.  And this response makes its way out of each person differently. That's why we never judge people by what they do or don't do while attending a Gathering at Crossroads.  We also believe that the church of the future will not be encumbered by the descriptors that we often place on it today (i.e. charismatic, traditional, etc).  We've have found that these terms often hinder us from becoming all that God wants us to be... wholehearted.

Jesus teaches us that all the commands given by God in the Old Testament are summarized by one:
To love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.  In other words, life becomes what God intended it to be when we hold nothing back from Him.  That's worship, and that's what we're becoming at Crossroads Bible.
