Mission & Vision

To spur young adults on to grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ, remaining faithfully present in Church and society for the glory of God and His Kingdom.

Young Adults Team

Tim Bassett
Resident Equipping Pastor

Tim and his wife Shayla came to Crossroads in 2016 when they moved into the city to start Tim’s seminary track at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. They have 3 children: Reid, Finnegan, and Lena. Tim grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and loves to hunt, fish, and camp. He also loves coaching and teaching, and spent 5 years after undergraduate school working in camp ministry and coaching at local high schools.

Nathan English
Resident Young Adults Pastor

Nathan & Jana, along with their four children Ben, Norah, Olive, and Ari have been a part of the Crossroads community for the past ten years. Nathan originally hails from the Pacific Northwest and met his wife while attending Bible college here in Michigan. They have had the joy of serving in the worship and marriage ministries as well as other lay leadership opportunities throughout the years. After being commissioned and sent out by Crossroads in 2015 to serve as support staff for a church plant in England, the English family returned to the states with a call to step into full time ministry.

Tammy Eldersveld
Young Adults Administrative Partner

Tammy has been a part of Crossroads since 2007 and has been honored to be a part of the Young Adults team since 2017, helping coordinate Tuesday and Wednesday night events, serving with communications, and discipleship. She and Joel have been married since August, 2020. They have an 8-year-old son named Andrew, and a baby joining the family in the summer of 2021. In her free time, Tammy enjoys learning new recipes (and watching cooking shows), barre workouts, traveling, hiking, reading, and spending time at home, and with family & friends.
