Manistee River Trail | July 9–11
Sometimes, you just need to get away. If you enjoy rustic backpacking on beautiful hiking trails by pristine rivers and creeks, as well as a chance to explore with a group of guys who are pursuing God and brotherhood together, join us!
The Manistee River Trail is one of Michigan’s most scenic and popular trails. We will begin on Friday afternoon by hiking about 5 miles and camping overnight on the trail. On Saturday, we will do the remainder of the trail and end up at the National Forest Campground at Seaton Creek. On Sunday, we will hike back to the river and do a 9 mile canoe paddle back to the original starting point.
The weekend will be a combination of fun and adventure in the outdoors, space to breathe and reflect, and great conversations with the guys on the trip. We will share some stories and life experiences together while exploring some themes related to community and living a life with healthy rhythms.
Moderate hiking ability is necessary, and guys need to provide their own backpacking/camping gear. We will schedule a packing party closer to the trip so guys can make sure they have what they need.
