SUMMARY:Men's Manistee River Trail Hike & Canoe Trip
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes you just need to get away… If you enjoy rustic backpacking on beautiful hiking trails by pristine rivers and creeks\, as well as a chance to explore with a group of guys who are pursuing God and brotherhood together\, join us! \nThe Manistee River Trail is one of Michigan’s most scenic and popular trails. We will begin on Friday afternoon by hiking about 5 miles and camping overnight on the trail. On Saturday\, we will do the remainder of the trail and end up at the National Forest Campground at Seaton Creek. On Sunday\, we will hike back to the river and do a 9 mile canoe paddle back to the original starting point. \nThis retreat weekend will be a combination of fun and adventure in the outdoors\, space to breathe and reflect\, and great conversations with the guys on the trip. We will share some stories and life experiences together while exploring some themes related to community and living a life with healthy rhythms. \nModerate hiking ability is necessary\, and guys need to provide their own backpacking/camping gear. We will schedule a packing party closer to the trip so guys can make sure they have what they need. \nSign Up Here

DESCRIPTION:Join with a bunch of guys around the fire in the Rockford area on the 2nd Friday of the month! Fireside Gatherings are for any guys over the age of 18\, who desire to grow in their faith in a laid back\, and welcoming atmosphere where they are free to be themselves. Typically\, we will spend the first little while catching up with friends and getting to know any newcomers while enjoying some good food. Then one of our Crossroads guys will share some of their story and give us some questions and ideas to kick around. Conversations will generally center around the lessons learned through our experiences of walking as Jesus followers in everyday life. \nReal stories\, real guys\, real life… \nWe also believe Fireside gives us a chance to encourage and support any guys who are in the midst of hard stuff\, so every gathering has a time for prayer and coming around guys who may be feeling it. If you are struggling\, please come and find this to be a place with no judgement and a lot of concern for your heart. \nWhat to Bring\nCamp chair\, beverage of choice (we typically have coffee\, especially during the cold months). Food is provided! Dress appropriately! We hope you experience some authentic and meaningful community at Fireside. Some guys may choose to puff on something around the fire or consume an adult beverage and some guys don’t. We feel that is just fine. We simply ask everyone to be responsible with how much alcohol they consume and limit it to a couple.
