DESCRIPTION:Band of Brothers is a small community of men who gather every Wednesday morning in the Cave to study the Bible and grow together. We pray\, share\, study and talk about how to live as men through our faith in Jesus. We meet every Wednesday morning at 6:00 am and wrap up by 7:00. We meet in person but also offer Zoom attendance if needed. Coffee and friendship are always offered. Band of Brothers is always open for new guys\, so if you want to connect right away\, make some new friends and get into God’s Word\, reach out to the leader via email and jump in. Please contact Ray Carmichael before joining us on a Wednesday morning. \n“My wife and I started attending Crossroads in the summer of 2017\, having moved to Grand Rapids from Chicago. We didn’t know anyone at church but knew God had led us there. I needed a group of men who I could trust\, enjoy and be honest with. I found it in Band of Brothers where I have grown in my faith\, encouraged by others and stretched in my understanding of Scripture. This group has become one of the most important parts of my personal and faith experiences.”\n– Ray Carmichael \nDeb and I started attending Crossroads in the fall of 2017. It wasn’t long before I attended some men’s events\, then began coming to Band of Brothers on Wednesday mornings. It makes a big church feel smaller. The encouragement and challenge I get from studying God’s Word together\, and from talking to\, and praying with the other guys in the group are necessities in my life. The truth is that many men are stuck in sexual bondage\, stuck in slavery to porn and lustful thoughts. To you\, Jesus says\, “I have come to proclaim release to the Captives\, and Freedom to the oppressed.” Join a small group of guys who are pursuing holiness and healing together. Group runs weekly from September through May. There is also a group offered on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30PM. \nRegistration is required. Please reach out to Andy with any questions. \n“Sixteen years ago I was shackled to every sinful desire I could imagine. My whole life I “knew” of Jesus\, but that simple knowledge did nothing to free me from a life of slavery. Somewhere deep in my soul I desired freedom but I honestly had never even thought it was possible. My marriage was deteriorating\, and I was a drunk that was driven by fear and lust.. Then God…\, through the love and counsel of a brother in Christ\, walked me through steps of repentance and forgiveness. Jesus destroyed the chains that held me captive. SUMMARY:Men's Manistee River Trail Hike & Canoe Trip
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes you just need to get away… If you enjoy rustic backpacking on beautiful hiking trails by pristine rivers and creeks\, as well as a chance to explore with a group of guys who are pursuing God and brotherhood together\, join us! \nThe Manistee River Trail is one of Michigan’s most scenic and popular trails. We will begin on Friday afternoon by hiking about 5 miles and camping overnight on the trail. On Saturday\, we will do the remainder of the trail and end up at the National Forest Campground at Seaton Creek. On Sunday\, we will hike back to the river and do a 9 mile canoe paddle back to the original starting point. \nThis retreat weekend will be a combination of fun and adventure in the outdoors\, space to breathe and reflect\, and great conversations with the guys on the trip. We will share some stories and life experiences together while exploring some themes related to community and living a life with healthy rhythms. \nModerate hiking ability is necessary\, and guys need to provide their own backpacking/camping gear. DESCRIPTION:Band of Brothers is a small community of men who gather every Wednesday morning in the Cave to study the Bible and grow together. We pray\, share\, study and talk about how to live as men through our faith in Jesus. We meet every Wednesday morning at 6:00 am and wrap up by 7:00. We meet in person but also offer Zoom attendance if needed. Coffee and friendship are always offered. Band of Brothers is always open for new guys\, so if you want to connect right away\, make some new friends and get into God’s Word\, reach out to the leader via email and jump in. Please contact Ray Carmichael before joining us on a Wednesday morning. \n“My wife and I started attending Crossroads in the summer of 2017\, having moved to Grand Rapids from Chicago. We didn’t know anyone at church but knew God had led us there. I needed a group of men who I could trust\, enjoy and be honest with. I found it in Band of Brothers where I have grown in my faith\, encouraged by others and stretched in my understanding of Scripture. This group has become one of the most important parts of my personal and faith experiences.”\n– Ray Carmichael \nDeb and I started attending Crossroads in the fall of 2017. It wasn’t long before I attended some men’s events\, then began coming to Band of Brothers on Wednesday mornings. It makes a big church feel smaller. The encouragement and challenge I get from studying God’s Word together\, and from talking to\, and praying with the other guys in the group are necessities in my life.
