DESCRIPTION:Band of Brothers is a small community of men who gather every Wednesday morning in the Cave to study the Bible and grow together. We pray\, share\, study and talk about how to live as men through our faith in Jesus. We meet every Wednesday morning at 6:00 am and wrap up by 7:00. We meet in person but also offer Zoom attendance if needed. Coffee and friendship are always offered. Band of Brothers is always open for new guys\, so if you want to connect right away\, make some new friends and get into God’s Word\, reach out to the leader via email and jump in. Please contact Ray Carmichael before joining us on a Wednesday morning. \n“My wife and I started attending Crossroads in the summer of 2017\, having moved to Grand Rapids from Chicago. We didn’t know anyone at church but knew God had led us there. I needed a group of men who I could trust\, enjoy and be honest with. I found it in Band of Brothers where I have grown in my faith\, encouraged by others and stretched in my understanding of Scripture. This group has become one of the most important parts of my personal and faith experiences.”\n– Ray Carmichael \nDeb and I started attending Crossroads in the fall of 2017. SUMMARY:Men's Retelling Your Story Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The heart of a man is hardwired to connect with God\, seek adventure alongside a band of brothers\, and partner with God in impacting the world. But too often we forsake this kind of life and just give ourselves to the daily grind. This weekend is about the recovery of your heart. It’s about plugging yourself into the larger story that God is writing in this world instead of the lesser narratives all around us. It’s about getting real with each other and with God. \nAt a story retreat we will explore the woods\, enjoy the cabin\, eat great food\, and gather around the campfire. However\, the real meat of the weekend will be an opportunity to explore our stories\, and confront the ways in which the enemy has tried to keep us down. We go to the wilderness to explore the things that make our hearts come alive\, but we also go to the wilderness to unearth and tend to the places in our story where we feel stuck so we can open ourselves up to receive all God has for us. \nThe weekend is a combination of fun in the wilderness\, storytelling\, times of reflection\, and times of sharing together. The cabin will be comfortable\, the wilderness beautiful\, the meals delicious\, and the campfires will burn into the night. DESCRIPTION:The Outpost is a place for middle and high school students to belong\, grow\, and be challenged in their faith. The name Outpost reflects our desire to raise and encourage the next generation to be outposts of Christ in their schools\, neighborhoods\, and everyday spaces. Our hope is to see students raised up as devoted\, wholehearted followers of Christ\, equipped to understand who they are in Him and the purpose He has for their lives. \nAt Outpost\, our small groups are where deep connections and impactful discipleship happen. Meeting twice a month\, these groups are divided by grade and gender to foster a comfortable environment for students to grow in their faith alongside peers. Each group is led by caring adults who are passionate about mentoring and guiding students in their spiritual journey. These gatherings take place at Crossroads or in various locations nearby\, providing an intimate setting for meaningful discussions\, prayer\, and growth.
