DESCRIPTION:A Crossroads Family Meal\, at its simplest\, is a means to connect with others who call Crossroads “home”.  Even more\, it’s an opportunity to share with others in the goodness of God\, to express dependence upon him as a community\, and to celebrate all that He’s done with others in the family of God. There is so much importance in slowing down and joining with one another around the table to break bread and share stories of God’s provision and presence in our lives. The table is where relationships are deepened\, where family reconnects and where God’s faithfulness is proclaimed. \nWe love that these meals have become a regular part of the rhythm of community at Crossroads—it’s our way of making our larger family smaller. DESCRIPTION:Join with a bunch of guys around the fire in Byron Center on the 4th Saturday of each month! Fireside Gatherings are for any guys over the age of 18\, who desire to grow in their faith in a laid back\, and welcoming atmosphere where they are free to be themselves. Typically\, we will spend the first little while catching up with friends and getting to know any newcomers while enjoying some good food. Then one of our Crossroads guys will share some of their story and give us some questions and ideas to kick around. Conversations will generally center around the lessons learned through our experiences of walking as Jesus followers in everyday life. \nReal stories\, real guys\, real life… \nWe also believe Fireside gives us a chance to encourage and support any guys who are in the midst of hard stuff\, so every gathering has a time for prayer and coming around guys who may be feeling it. If you are struggling\, please come and find this to be a place with no judgement and a lot of concern for your heart. \nWhat to Bring\nCamp chair\, beverage of choice (we typically have coffee\, especially during the cold months). Food is provided! Dress appropriately! We hope you experience some authentic and meaningful community at Fireside. Some guys may choose to puff on something around the fire or consume an adult beverage and some guys don’t. We feel that is just fine. We simply ask everyone to be responsible with how much alcohol they consume and limit it to a couple. DESCRIPTION:Band of Brothers is a small community of men who gather every Wednesday morning in the Cave to study the Bible and grow together. We pray\, share\, study and talk about how to live as men through our faith in Jesus. We meet every Wednesday morning at 6:00 am and wrap up by 7:00. We meet in person but also offer Zoom attendance if needed. Coffee and friendship are always offered. Please contact Ray Carmichael before joining us on a Wednesday morning. \n“My wife and I started attending Crossroads in the summer of 2017\, having moved to Grand Rapids from Chicago. We didn’t know anyone at church but knew God had led us there. I needed a group of men who I could trust\, enjoy and be honest with. I found it in Band of Brothers where I have grown in my faith\, encouraged by others and stretched in my understanding of Scripture. These sessions are open to any adult regardless of whether your experience is recent or not so recent. The group is led by individuals who have personally experienced grief due to a loved one’s death. \nEach week includes a DVD teaching time followed by group discussion on topics relevant to your situation. You will also receive a workbook to keep you engaged throughout the week. DESCRIPTION:Band of Brothers is a small community of men who gather every Wednesday morning in the Cave to study the Bible and grow together. We pray\, share\, study and talk about how to live as men through our faith in Jesus. We meet every Wednesday morning at 6:00 am and wrap up by 7:00. We meet in person but also offer Zoom attendance if needed. Coffee and friendship are always offered. Band of Brothers is always open for new guys\, so if you want to connect right away\, make some new friends and get into God’s Word\, reach out to the leader via email and jump in. Please contact Ray Carmichael before joining us on a Wednesday morning. \n“My wife and I started attending Crossroads in the summer of 2017\, having moved to Grand Rapids from Chicago. We didn’t know anyone at church but knew God had led us there. I needed a group of men who I could trust\, enjoy and be honest with. I found it in Band of Brothers where I have grown in my faith\, encouraged by others and stretched in my understanding of Scripture. This group has become one of the most important parts of my personal and faith experiences.”\n– Ray Carmichael \nDeb and I started attending Crossroads in the fall of 2017.
