Premarital Support

Congratulations on your recent engagement! It’s an exciting season of life, and we would love to support you as you prepare for marriage.

To help marriages succeed, we believe it is essential to provide couples with biblical tools before their wedding day. We also believe this preparation is best experienced in relationship with a godly couple who has journeyed several years ahead of you. For this reason, our premarital support is a mentor-based program. Life and years offer the wisdom of time-tested gospel truth along with many real-life examples.

Getting Started

The first step is to attend a Premarital Orientation meeting.

At this meeting, you will:

  • Meet other engaged couples in a similar season of life.
  • Hear the heart behind our premarital ministry.
  • Learn the details of our mentoring process.
  • Have the opportunity to officially sign up.

What to Expect

Our typical premarital process lasts a minimum of three months and, in most cases, longer due to mentor availability and waiting lists. Because of this, we strongly encourage couples to begin the process at least six months before their wedding.

In extenuating circumstances, we do our best to accommodate couples and their needs.

If you have questions, please contact marriage@crossroads-bible.org.

If You Would Like a Crossroads Pastor to Officiate Your Wedding

Many factors go into scheduling weddings, so we would love to know your preferences upfront. While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate every request, we will do our best.

Please note that couples married by a Crossroads pastor are required to complete Crossroads’ premarital support process. In addition to meeting with your mentors, you will also meet with your pastor for up to two premarital sessions.

When a pastor commits to officiating a wedding, that commitment is made with the responsibility of ensuring the couple is in a healthy place, understands God’s design for marriage, and is prepared to faithfully reflect Christ through their relationship. Your premarital time with a couple is a large part of the discernment process. In some cases, a couple may need to have additional meetings with their marrying pastor or Stephanie who leads the Marriage Ministry.

Not Part of Crossroads?

Because of the limited number of mentor couples we have available, our mentor-based premarital program is currently reserved for committed Crossroads attenders.

However, we’d still love to serve you. Our premarital curriculum is available for purchase at cost, and we encourage you to go through it with a married couple you know and trust: people who can encourage you, ask good questions, and invest in your relationship as you prepare for marriage.
