On Mission

The good news of the Kingdom is the most important identity that the church and the people of God have been entrusted with. We believe that we are all chosen and sent out to be priests, and that every person is called to use their unique gifts and talents to impact their streetcorner, bring shalom into the chaos of this world, and disadvantage ourselves for the advantage of someone else.

We love to hear what you’re passionate about and how we can support, pray, and resource you as you are on mission in your street corner and around the world. Our desire as a Missions Team is to help fuel your Kingdom dreams!

We believe that Crossroads has been placed in the city, for the city. There are church-led initiatives and local ministry partnerships that we as a church body get to steward, to serve the city of Grand Rapids. But, more importantly, we believe that everyone who is following Christ gets to be a part of God’s mission for their streetcorner. Our team is here to support you as you use your specific gifts and talents to serve the people around you in your daily life.

Those last words in our mission statement really excite us — the nations! Crossroads is making a transformative difference in the nations as people in our community of faith go out of their comfort zone to show the love of Christ to people who may never have heard that name before. Some of those cross-cultural ventures are short-term (from one week up to a year) and others go long-term. We can help you find the right fit for the next step in your role in global missions.
