We believe that Crossroads has been placed in the city, for the city. There are church-led initiatives and local ministry partnerships that we as a church body get to steward, to serve the city of Grand Rapids. But, more importantly, we believe that everyone who is following Christ gets to be a part of God’s mission for their streetcorner. Our team is here to support you as you use your specific gifts and talents to serve the people around you in your daily life.
One of the ways that we reach our streetcorner is through our Tuesday Resource Center for our homeless neighbors. There are many ways to get involved in serving this community. Please contact Bethany for more information and questions about the Resource Center.
Crossroads is privileged to host a week-long emergency family shelter three times a year in collaboration with Family Promise of Grand Rapids. To make this possible, we need an army of volunteers to step in and provide welcome & hospitality. There are a handful of ways you can do this…through making meals, spending time with families in the evening, staying overnight, setting up/tearing down and a handful of other ways! Please join us in loving these precious families during our next week. Contact Bethany if you have any questions or would like additional information.
We host a Resource Center every Tuesday 9:30-12:00. If you are unsheltered or homeless and need a shower, meal, or access to community resources such as medical care, housing information or assistance with online applications, you are welcome to come by!
If you are our neighbor in the city of Grand Rapids and need financial assistance with your back rent, 1st month’s rent and deposit, or past due utilities, please reach out to us at neighborcare@crossroads-bible.org or 616-330-1737 Please note that our processes do take 2+ weeks. We also do NOT help with other types of financial needs such as car repairs, hotel stays or storage units.
