Chris & Anne Wilhelm

The Wilhelms: Chris, Anne, Isable, and Sophia, serve in Kandern, Germany. Chris is the IT Coordinator for TeachBeyond Germany and Anne is currently full time with their two girls. Together, they also volunteer in one of the girls dorms at Black Forest Academy.

I (Chris) graduated from Black Forest Academy in 2010 and began attending Cornerstone University that fall. I started attending Crossroads and immediately connected with some leaders and other members. I interned under the then Youth Pastor, Brandon Hirth. Even though most of my work was with the Middle School, I did go on a mission trip to Guatemala with the high schoolers. In the middle of 2016 I became a partner with Crossroads, and shortly after I was sent out as a missionary to Black Forest Academy as a Resident Assistant for Black Forest Academy. I served in that roll for two years.

In July of 2018 Anne and I were married. Since then, we have served with TeachBeyond and Black Forest Academy in various capacities. During my time as a resident assistant, Anne was also serving in the same capacity for a girls dorm. Afterwards, Anne took German language classes for a year while I worked at Black Forest Academy as their Alumni Liaison Officer.

Fast forward to today, Anne is full time with the kids at home, but also serving in our church community where possible. Chris is with TeachBeyond Germany serving as their IT Coordinator. This includes managing our email servers, setting up new laptops or smartphones, and ensuring maximum compliance with Germany’s strict data protection laws. Since 2018, Anne and I have served the Storch girls dorm at Black Forest Academy in various capacities including being dorm subs, which allows the dorm staff to take time off when needed, or simply showing up and making dinner for the girls.
