Bill & Diane Treat
Bill and Diane served as members of the faculty and administration of the Kosovo Leadership Academy is a full time K-12th grade private, licensed, and accredited school in Mitrovicë, Kosovo. Now they are based back in the US and devoting their time to enlisting new teachers to join the KLA team and equipping them to succeed once there.
The Kosovo Leadership Academy exists to improve communities and advance the education level of Kosovo and beyond by developing young people who learn for life, live for others, and lead their communities with excellence.
The Academy seeks to develop a generation of young leaders to make a strategic difference in a country that has seen war, ethnic division, and economic collapse. It seeks to graduate students who have a clear commitment to their communities while encouraging students to maximize their potential and press toward the goal for the sake of something larger than themselves. The KLA is about learning with excellence, living with excellence, and leading with excellence.
We, like the rest of the faculty and staff of KLA are believers and the vast majority of the student body, and their parents, are muslim. While not a Christian school, we do teach and lead in ways that embody biblical values and our lives are testimonies to the good news.
