The Walk is a missional community of 18-25 year old young adults seeking to spur one another on in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ, remaining faithfully present in the Church and society to the glory of God and His Kingdom.
We meet as a group of college age young adults every Wednesday evening in the pursuit of God and each other. Most weeks, we meet in the Upper Room at Crossroads where we wrestle with questions of faithful living in this world as followers of Jesus. Practically, this looks like nights of worship, the study of scripture, table discussions, service nights, and the pursuit of relationship with each other. Throughout the year, we also host social events and celebrations all about fellowship and fun.
Outside of our large group gatherings, the Walk Small Groups are fellowships of young men and women led by peer-servant leaders and older discipling men and women of our church. The aim is to know others and be known in a more holistic sense, growing with each other as friends and fellow pursuers of Christ. These groups run 4-5 weeks at a time which allows for faithfulness without the expectation of a prolonged and overwhelming commitment.
Once a semester, we take time to retreat on a weekend away to get a breath of fresh air, away from our normal rhythms of life. Together we develop deeper friendships, focus our attention on God, share our stories, and have fun!
A 10-day trip for young adults, to Oxford, England to experience what it means to be a Credible Christian in a secularized society. The experience will include study and teaching with Neil Martin, interaction with his ministries including his new church plant Oxford Presbyterian, and visiting other ministries that are reaching out to their communities in Kingdom ways. Of course, there will also be time to soak in the history and sights that surround this awesome city as well!
