Josh & Alissa Crooks

The Crooks Family (Josh, Alissa, Judah, Jabez, and Jenevieve) are based in Chiang Mai, Thailand and serve with the Free Burma Rangers doing humanitarian aid and missional media, bringing the Gospel to conflict zones in Burma, Middle East, and Ukraine.

We joined Crossroads in 2010. Josh served for seven years on the worship team and Josh and Alissa both served on the Missions Committee for four years.

In 2016, Crossroads sent us to the mission field, first to Germany until 2024 and then to Thailand in July, 2025. We are now based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, serving with the Free Burma Rangers—a group that brings the message of Christ’s love, humanitarian help, and hope to displaced families in war-torn areas of the world. Josh shares the message of the Gospel in these places, as well as documents stories about the plight of these communities and God’s work within them. His mission is to capture stories of God’s transforming light and love, restoring and redeeming people living in unspeakable suffering and darkness. Alissa supports the team through special projects, acts of mercy, prayer ministry, and disciple-making.
