What is hope? Do you have it? What is your hope in?
Nazi Germany is the easiest way of understanding the world of the 1st Christians. Does this historical background of two competing Kings and two competing Kingdoms matter, especially when talking about hope? How so?
In v.3-10, Paul lays out the Christian’s hope, which is our inheritance (Blessed, chosen, adopted, redeemed…and one day everything will be summed up in Christ). What does this mean to you? Is this your hope? Do you live “blessed”? “Chosen”? “Adopted”?, etc.
Why do we put our hope in lesser things?
What is the role of the Holy Spirit in all of this (v.13-14)?
Do you pray Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:18? Why should we?
